Cop held for molesting minor girl
A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable has been arrested for allegedly attempting to molest a 14-year-old girl at CRPF campus in Chandrayangutta area, the police said on Tuesday. The accused Mukesh Godara, 24, a native of Rajasthan, who had come to the campus three months ago for training, allegedly caught hold of the girl, who is a CRPF sub inspector’s daughter on December 27 when she was alone and attempted to outrage her modesty
Hyderabad: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable has been arrested for allegedly attempting to molest a 14-year-old girl at CRPF campus in Chandrayangutta area, the police said on Tuesday. The accused Mukesh Godara, 24, a native of Rajasthan, who had come to the campus three months ago for training, allegedly caught hold of the girl, who is a CRPF sub inspector’s daughter on December 27 when she was alone and attempted to outrage her modesty, a police officer said. “The victim’s father was out of station to participate in a training camp and she was staying with her mother and elder sister in the police residential quarters,” Chandrayangutta inspector N Rama Rao said.
However, the girl raised an alarm and her mother and sister who were out of the house attending a religious gathering rushed to her rescue, Rao said. The girl’s mother lodged a police complaint on December 28 after which, the accused was charged with wrongful confinement (Section 342 of IPC), assault and using criminal force on woman with intent to outrage her modesty (Section 351 and 354 of IPC), besides relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
