Nellore Nurse ends life after torture
A 23-year-old nurse of a private hospital allegedly committed suicide on Friday by injecting self with poison in front of her boyfriend’s house at Children’s Park here, after being ‘tortured’ by him. Malli, a painter of Gurrala Madugu Sangam, had molested her after threatening to circulate nude videos on the net, projecting her as a prostitute.

Nellore: A 23-year-old nurse of a private hospital allegedly committed suicide on Friday by injecting self with poison in front of her boyfriend’s house at Children’s Park here, after being ‘tortured’ by him. Malli, a painter of Gurrala Madugu Sangam, had molested her after threatening to circulate nude videos on the net, projecting her as a prostitute.
She left a message in the dying declaration, with a call that persons like her boyfriend, ‘who were playing with the lives of women’, should be killed. Malli, who was married five years back, had trapped the nurse who belonged to the same village, after promising to marry her. After cheating the nurse of her earnings of about Rs 2 lakh and gold ornaments, he avoided marriage, branding her as a prostitute. Realising the cheating, she approached his mother, Jyoti, for help. Jyoti too turned her away. In desperation, the nurse attempted suicide and died at the hospital, while undergoing treatment. The police registered a case. Malli is absconding.
