Scrap dealer held for theft
The Task Force (East) police on Wednesday arrested a property offender and seized 70 tolas of gold ornaments and eight tolas of silver ornaments from his possession. The accused identified as Rathlavath Naresh Naik alias Narsaiah, 29, a scrap dealer of Falaknuma, was arrested on Wednesday near Quadri Chaman Road in Falaknuma area by a special team under the supervision of Additional DCP, N Koti Reddy.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (East) police on Wednesday arrested a property offender and seized 70 tolas of gold ornaments and eight tolas of silver ornaments from his possession. The accused identified as Rathlavath Naresh Naik alias Narsaiah, 29, a scrap dealer of Falaknuma, was arrested on Wednesday near Quadri Chaman Road in Falaknuma area by a special team under the supervision of Additional DCP, N Koti Reddy.
Based on a complaint by one Manoj Kumar Goel of Gowlipura in Moghalpura on March 8, that his valuables were missing and that Naresh could be behind the act as he came to his house on the pretext of purchasing old newspapers, police registered a case and took up the investigation.
During the course of investigation, police detained and interrogated him. “He confessed that on March 8 he committed the offence and concealed the valuables at his house,” Reddy said. The accused has been handed over to Moghalpura police station for further necessary action.
