B-grade Telugu actress Neetu Agarwal arrested in Red sanders smuggling

Andhra Pradesh police today arrested b-grade Tollywood actress Neetu Agarwal for her alleged involvement in red sanders smuggling.

She was taken into custody near Ullindakonda by Rudravaram police early hours this morning on national highway when she was trying to get away to Bangalore after hiding in small towns for few days since the police issued an arrest warrant and launched a hunt for her.

The Rudravaram police had registered a case against her as accused -10 Neetu Agarwal after tracing Rs 1.05 crore was transferred from her bank account to red sander smuggler Balu Nayak of Chagalamarri who was on the run. The Police presented a tear faced Neetu Aagarwal hiding her face with a scarf before the media briefly on Sunday morning after she was produced in a court in Kurnool.

The heroine of “Prema Prayanam movie which is still in cans was in a live-in relationship with its producer, Chagalamarri mandal president and YSR Congress leader Mastan Vali, a lemon vendor turned red sander smuggler. The duo were living here and they own a flat and a car that was gifted to her by the smuggler Mastan Vali.

Neetu Agarwal who was not very successful in her career found a friend in Mastan Vali who was married thrice. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce has expelled Mastan Vali and blacklisted him.

Addressing media Kurnool SP Ravi Krishna said that the police are determined to curb red sanders smuggling. “We have found out that Balu Nayak is at the bottom of the three tiered smuggling racket involving big sharks."

The SP said the police had launched an awareness campaign in all the villages of the district that red sanders wood smuggling, storing and selling was a major offense attracting ten years imprisonment.
