Mother axes alcoholic son to death over harassment

In an appalling occurrence, a mother axed her differently-abled son to death after being harassed by him for a long period.

The deceased, Vanam Ravi suffered an electric shock when he was a kid due to which doctors amputated both his hands. Ravi’s mother Vanam Bhudevi had been looking after him since then but with his recent addiction to liquor, he harassed his mother.

On Wednesday, however, not able to take anymore torture, Bhudevi attacked him with axe and the severe injuries lead to instant death of Ravi. Later, Bhudevi later surrendered at Banswada Police Station and the police have sent the body for postmortem. Ravi’s elder brother, Vanam Anil said that this extreme step was taken by his mother as she was unable to bear Ravi’s torture.

A case has been registered and the investigation has begun.
