Hyderabad: Customs officials seized gold estimated to weigh 580 grams and worth about Rs 15 lakh from a passenger who arrived from Dubai at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad, on Wednesday.
She was travelling from Dubai to Hyderabad by UAE flight which landed here, on Wednesday morning. Customs officials said that passenger, Salma was intercepted and her belongings were searched based on intelligence inputs. The passenger was interrogated and she admitted to the offence and was subsequently arrested, they said.
