Hyderabad: Three persons were held by Task Force police for cheating unemployed youth with false promises to provide surveyor posts in Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), Khammam.

According to Task Force Police, the accused Kiran Kumar, 24, Senior Accounts Officer, SCCL, Shatam Ramesh, 29, system operator and Mothe Ramesh, 28, a driver were nabbed.

Police said SCCL has issued an external employment notification for the post of Surveyor Trainee to fill up 48 vacancies along with eight other posts.

It issued 9,644 hall tickets to eligible candidates and the written test was scheduled to be conducted on December 20. But, the written test was put off due to administrative issues.

By taking the advantage of the delay, Kiran planned to cheat unemployed youth. He gathered candidates, who had already applied, and promised them to provide posts.

Kiran influenced the candidates and collected sum of Rs 10,000 to 20,000 from each of them as advance.
