​Hyderabad: A 24-year-old man who attended the Central Reserve Police Force Battalion recruitment camp in medical department died while taking physical efficiency test on the running tract at Chandrayangutta on Saturday.

The CRPF has organised a recruitment camp to fill various posts in medical department including Radiologist, Male Nurse and Lab Technicians. Over 300 candidates both of male and female participated in the recruitment camp.

A batch of 34 persons including 12 female candidates was selected for physical tests in which Himanshu Chandra Jena (24) of Odisha also participated.

Himanshu Chandra Jena (24) and others were on the running track to finish 1.6 km run as part of the PET, and he suddenly collapsed on the track. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but was declared brought dead, said sources.

Chandrayangutta police said Himanshu ran for about 800 metres, suddenly he suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the tract. He was shifted to Apollo DRDO hospital for treatment,

but was declared brought dead by the doctors. A case is registered and investigation is on.
