Burglar, three receivers arrested
East zone task force team of the city police on Saturday arrested notorious burglar Gaffar Khan aka Jigar and three receivers who had purchased the stolen material from him despite knowing very well about the source of the material.

The arrested receivers were identified as Bajranglal Soni, Sumit Chand Soni and Rohit Soni. Police recovered gold ornaments weighing 1.5 kg, cash worth Rs 30,000, one two wheeler and three mobile phones from their possession, police said.
Gaffar used to move on two wheeler in the wee hours in plush localities and gain entry into the houses by unbolting the doors of kitchen or any other room via the window next to the door. Then he used to steal valuables if he could find the keys to the almirahs.
There were instances when he was chased by the inmates, police said adding that as many as 19 cases of burglaries could be detected with Gaffar’s arrest.
