Tandur: A case had been registered against persons who abused Municipal Councillor Arvind in the name of caste and threatened to kill him, SI Nagarjuna said here on Wednesday.
According to the police, the accused allegedly abused the councilor for supporting a Congress candidate in the recent Municipal Chairperson Elections.
Arvind won from the MIM party ticket. One of the accused was identified as Khaja, an auto driver involved in the act with 20 others. Investigation is underway, the police said.
