The Central Crime Station (CCS) police here on Friday arrested three persons allegedly involved in several theft cases and recovered 28 tola gold ornaments, five tola silver articles, a bike and Rs.9.50 lakh from their possession.

Khammam: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police here on Friday arrested three persons allegedly involved in several theft cases and recovered 28 tola gold ornaments, five tola silver articles, a bike and Rs.9.50 lakh from their possession.

Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal told the media that the accused were identified as Pedrapedda Venkateshwarlu (28), resident of Gutur district, Uppu Thiruparthi (32), resident of Wyra mandal in Khammam district and Nallamothu Suresh alias Errodu (27), resident of Krishna district.

He said the CCS police had arrested the accused during the vehicle checking in the early hours at Kodad Crossroad.

The accused were involved in several theft cases in both Telugu States. Venkateshwarlu was booked in 30 cases, U Thirupathi in six cases and N Suresh in about 50 cases, said the Police Commissioner.

Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar, CCA Assistant Commissioner of Police Eshwaraiah, CCS Circle Inspector Karunakar were present at the press meet.The police team comprising Srinivas, Daniel, Lingaiah, Srinivas Rao, Anand Rao, Sathyanarayana and Ramesh, arrested the accused.
