Vijayawada: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced admission to its January 2015 session programmes on Thursday. The last date for applying to all the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes is December 1 without late fee and December 15 with late fee of Rs 300 at the Regional Centre.

The IGNOU said that applications for Masters and Bachelor degree programmes in the areas of Computer Applications (MCA), MA in rural development, tourism management, English, Hindi, public administration, social work, economics, history, political science, sociology, psychology, distance education, M.Com., M.Sc.

in dietetics and food services, Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP), BA in political science, history, economics, mathematics, public administration, philosophy, psychology, sociology, english, hindi, urdu, tourism studies, social work, library and information sciences, B.Com., B.Sc. in physics, chemistry, mathematics, zoology and botany and all diploma and certificate programmes were invited.

The university also invites applications for various diploma and certificate programmes like Diploma in Retailing (DIR) Diploma in Diary Technology (DDT), Certificate in Functional English (CFE), Certificate in Business Skills (CBS) and other programmes.

The student handbook and prospectus is available at at IGNOU Regional Centre, Vijayawada, which can be purchased for Rs 200 in person and Rs 250 by post and submitted along with the requisite fee in the form of a demand draft to the Regional Centre, Vijayawada.
