There have been several quirky cases where employees have quit their jobs in a fanatical manner, however the latest one definitely wins, as he printed his resignation on a cake.
Mark Herman, a newscast director at KOLD in Arizona, handed in the sweetest resignation letter in the form of a cake and wrote on Reddit that he handed in the most delicious letter of resignation ever, AOL News reported.
The resignation read, "Please accept this cake as formal and delicious notice of my resignation from the position of Newscast Director. My last day of employment will be Friday, May 22nd.
I will miss KOLD and all the incredible people I've been fortunate enough to work with over the last 4 years. I cannot thank you enough for all the opportunities and experiences you have given me during my time here.
I appreciate your understand, and I wish you all the very best. If there's anything I can do to help with the transition during my last few weeks here, please don't hesitate to ask."
Herman told blogger Jim Romenesko he knew his colleagues would be disappointed with his departure, so he wanted to soften the blow explaining "nobody can be mad or sad at a cake".
