Leaders complain missing of namesHyderabad: TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu’s novel idea to select the party candidates in the general election through IVR (Interactive Voice Response) system was facing initial ‘hiccups’ as many party leaders complained that their names were missing in the probables’ list.

Naidu recently launched the new system in the name of – “Me Vuuru, Mee Abhyardhi- Mee Estame Naa Eshtam (Your town, your candidate- Your Choice is My Choice), seeking the opinion of party workers and people in the selection of party candidates. Under the new selection process, party would send a voice message to the mobiles used by voters and ask them to choose one among the four names mentioned. People were also given option to select their own candidate and forward the same to the party.

Party sources said that the party office was flooded with complaints from ticket aspirants and leaders that their names were not mentioned in the list of candidates in the messages that forwarded to the voters and party workers. Over 300 aspirants contacted the party’s IT wing which is monitoring the new system. For instance, people in Secunderbad constituency received a message which mentioned only the party’s Greater Hyderabad wing President T Srinivasa Yadav’s name. Peeved over not including his name, the other aspirant A Prabhakar Goud complained to the party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu. Party leaders in LB Nagar constituency were also angry as their names were missing in the list. In the message, the party senior leader SV Krishan Prasad name was only mentioned.

Most of the complaints were from the aspirants from different constituencies from Telangana and Seemandhra; party leaders said that the senior leaders and district party Presidents have been asked to send a detailed list of aspirants who were genuinely eligible to contest the election immediately. All fool proof arrangements are being made to get the response from voters in a transparent way.
