TDP third list of Seemandhra put a match to intrinsic blaze

Vijayawada: No sooner the release of the third list of Telugu Desam Party candidates of Seemandhra region for ominous general elections was released than a punch-up between the activists and the top cadre has begun on Monday. The same scene which was prevalent in Telangana is now repeated in Seemandhra.

It is evident that both Telugu Desam Party and Bharatiya Janata Party have held discussions on Sunday concerning the seat distribution. As part of the existing alliance between the parties, the Lok Sabha constituencies of Visakhapatnam, Narsapuram, Rajampet and Tirupati were given to BJP. Similarly, BJP was also given 14 Assembly constituencies. Of these 14 assembly constituencies, Vijayawada (West) is one.

As the party activists learned that Vijayawada (west) seat was allotted to BJP, they at once fumed over the party high command. The TDP activists have been creating a tumult at Santanutalapadu with a proclamation that it was not fair to allocate seats to BJP in Seemandhra region, which is very weak in the province. According to sources, the dissidents are planning to enter the fray as rebel candidates.
