AAP Takes Out ‘Cheepuru Yatra’ to File Papers, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made a novel entry into Kurnool politics with the filing of nomination papers by Kiran Kumar Vissa for the Kurnool Lok Sabha Constituency.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made a novel entry into Kurnool politics with the filing of nomination papers by Kiran Kumar Vissa for the Kurnool Lok Sabha Constituency. Kiran, a State campaign committee member of AAP and hundreds of members started with a unique "Cheepuru Yatra" from the Raj Vihar Center and proceeded to the Collectorate. Along with Kiran for Kurnool MP, AAP's assembly candidates too filed nominations in their respective constituencies in the district.
Those who have filed the nominations are, PBV Subbaiah from Panyam, Noor Ahmed from Adoni, and Devi Ramalingappa from Pattikonda. Chanting slogans against the corrupt politics of dynasty, mining mafia and liquor barons they proceeded in a rally after filing the nominations through the localities of their respective constituencies. Kiran is alumnus of IIT Chennai and worked as a satellite engineer in the USA. He has also been a social activist who worked in villages of Kurnool for past 5 years since the floods in 2009. "We will sweep off corruption from the society," Kiran said and called on people to usher in change by voting for people of integrity, commitment and honesty.
