AFOSEC-2015 attracts 600 students
A two-day national level annual technological and cultural fest titled ‘AFOSEC-2015’ was off to a bang at VR Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) at Kanuru on Thursday.
A two-day national level annual technological and cultural fest titled ‘AFOSEC-2015’ was off to a bang at VR Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) at Kanuru on Thursday. The event aimed at bringing engineering and technical students on a single platform, attracted 600 participants from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Haryana and other States, besides Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the inaugural function, college principal, AV Ratna Prasad said, `”The techno-cultural fest is a platform for students to showcase their academic and extracurricular talent. As many as 52 different events will be held during the cultural fest to unearth the hidden talent of participants.’’
Academic programmes like quiz, paper and poster presentation, modern art, tech scribe, spot photography and code crafts were held for B Tech, M Tech and management students on the first day of the fest. It also featured events like robot wars, robot rover, robot golf and technical workshops. Sangeeta Sarita, dramatics personae, solo dance, group dance and solo singing, fancy dress, mono action, mime and other events will be held on Friday. The models of projects developed and designed by students of the Research and Development wing and young entrepreneurs are also on display at the venue.
