The troupe, headed by Vattikota Yadagiracharya, performed the feat on May 4 which was the birthday of the temple’s principle deity Sree Narasimha Swamy. Incidentally Annamacharya Jayanthi and Buddha Purnima fell on the same day. Yadagiracharya is the founder of Bhavanalaya Music & Dance Academy.

The dance was flagged off by 5th additional district and sessions judge Nimma Narayana. The event was graced by N Geetha, executive officer of the temple, K Seshachryulu, retired assistant commissioner, Endowments Department and other dignitaries. The team was received at the temple by temple chairman B Narasimurthy, and Mruthyunjaya Sharma, guru of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
