The Hanuman Jayanti Shobha Yatra concluded peacefully on Friday. Keeping aside differences, people from several communities came forward to extend help to the devotees who participated in it.

The Shobha Yatra began with hundreds of vehicles carrying Hanuman idols and public waving saffron flags starting from Gowliguda Temple at around 10.30 pm and it concluded by 7.30 pm at the Hanuman Mandir in Tadbund at Old Bowenpally.

The devotees turned in huge numbers despite the scorching sun (43 degrees). As the procession reached Narayanguda, Secunderabad and other places, people from other communities served water and buttermilk packets to the devotees, which came as relief to the devotees.

Mild tension prevailed at Karmanghat when police objected the organisers of a small procession for using DJ sound system in the yatra. The organisers initially indulged in an argument for about half an hour and later decided to continue further without DJ, as the halt of procession created huge traffic blockage.
