Surya, Bhavana to lead Telangana roll ball teams
Surya Akella of Hyderabad and Bhavana B of Nizamabad will lead Telangana boys and girls team in the Junior National roll ball tournament at Kollam from August 12 to 14.

At a function organised in the city on Tuesday to give away kits and to deliver a pep talk, B Rammohan, President, Roll Ball Association of Telangana (RBAT) advised them to play with the spirit of the game and get good results in the tournament.
He said they could advantage of roll ball being a new sport and Telangana itself was the newest Indian State. Presently it is played in 50 countries.
“We will be conducting summer coaching camps from next year in all the skating rinks in the twin-cities. We will be conducting South Asian championship in October,” he added.
K Rammohan Reddy, Secretary, Sports Games Federation of Telangana State said “we have added Roll Ball game this year and we will be conducting the U-19 tournament this year.
Rahul Saridena, Secretary, RBTA said it was an exciting sport as it blended the best of skating, handball and basketball. It would go a long way in India and will particularly attract young boys and girls.
“We had recently conducted Telangana State inter-district roll ball championship and eight district teams participated.”
