The Indian PSU Public Sector Undertaking, NTPC is developing sanitation facilitates for Govt Girls High School and Govt. Junior College in Secunderabad.

In a statement released to the media on Tuesday, NTPC said, “The provision of water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in school secures a healthy school environment and protects children from illness and exclusion.

Girls are particularly vulnerable to dropping out of schools and colleges, partly because many are reluctant to continue their education when toilets and washing facilities are not private, not safe or simply not available.”

NTPC SRHQ stepped in to provide toilet facilities for schools located at West Marredpally in Secunderabad is taken up as part of its CSR initiative.

The organisation completed construction of toilets and handed it over to the school and college managements. VB Fadnavis, Regional Eexecutive Director (South), NTPC, Dr T Pratap, AGM(HR), A Rajendar, DGM(CSR), college and school staff and school children took part in the programme .
