Warangal: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) would run 30 mini A/c buses from State capital to Warangal city after Diwali. The advantage of these mini buses is that the passengers will not have to go to the bus depot as it will be a ‘Home to Home’ service.

Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy and the TSRTC Chairman S Satyanarayana, who inspected the new A/c mini buses at Bus Bhavan here on Friday, said the first service of mini buses would be starting from Hyderabad to Warangal.

Passengers travelling from Hyderabad to Warangal would be picked up from 100 important points in Hyderabad and in the return direction from 46 points in Warangal.

The corporation would operate 60 trips between Hyderabad and Warangal every day. These air-conditioned buses, called as ‘Vajra’ , will be equipped with video and audio facilities for entertainment.

The TSRTC will also supply drinking water bottles, mobile charging point at every passenger’s seat. Passengers can book tickets even half an hour before the journey time. All the buses are fitted with GPS technology, which would help in tracking the movement of the buses.

The Corporation would also soon start a mobile application called ‘RTC Wallet’ for booking tickets. The four routes in Hyderabad to Warangal are-
Route-1 Saroornagar to Warangal via Nagole Cross Roads, Uppal Cross Roads
Route-2 Mehdipatnam to Warangal via Himayatnagar, RTC Cross Roads
Route-3 KPHB to Warangal via Balanagar, Secunderabad and Tarnaka
Route-4 A S Rao Nagar to Warangal via ECIL Cross Roads, Habshiguda.
