Uniting in the spirit of sports
The three-day ‘CBSE Cluster VII Kabaddi Tournament’ was inaugurated by Karimnagar Collector, Sarfaraz Ahmed at Vivekananda Residential School in the area.
The three-day ‘CBSE Cluster VII Kabaddi Tournament’ was inaugurated by Karimnagar Collector, Sarfaraz Ahmed at Vivekananda Residential School in the area.
Upto 130 students from 13 schools of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh participated in the tournament, which is being organised for the first time in CBSE Cluster-VII.
Meer Aseem Ali of ninth standard took the oath on behalf of the participants. Speaking after the inauguration, Ahmed said, “Sports builds characters and brings the world together.”
Jagadish Yadav, CEO Amature Federation of India mentioned that India was able to achieve gold medals in Asian Games for the past seven constitute years because of Kabaddi.
The Chairman of the school Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani expressed his happiness to host the event and said, “This helps to develop personality and cultural knowledge of the children.”
Principal T Lalitha Kumari emphasised that sports is specifically suited to form character, skills and plays an important role for peaceful coexistence.
G Ashok Kumar, District Youth and Sports Officer and Ch Sampath Rao CBSE Observer (Sports) were present on the occasion in which cultural programmes were also organised.
