Participating in the ‘National Ayurveda Day’ celebrations on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the ancient Indian physician Dhanwantari in the town on Friday, he expressed happiness that people in large numbers were coming to the Ayurvedic dispensary and showing interest in the traditional Indian medicine which has several curative values.
Dr Ramulu said several new rooms and furniture were allotted for the Ayurvedic section and medicines were distributed.
On the occasion, an awareness camp was on preventing diabetes was organised in which Ayurvedic specialist Dr Gangadas gave a special lecture.
Resident Medical Officer Dr Tirupathi Rao and other doctors like Dr Rammohan, Vijay Kumar and Majid were present on the occasion.
