The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Hyderabad region is organising ‘South India Regional Cultural Meet and Art Exhibition – 2016’ in Warangal on November 7 and 8 at Kakatiya University auditorium in Warangal.

Warangal Urban: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Hyderabad region is organising ‘South India Regional Cultural Meet and Art Exhibition – 2016’ in Warangal on November 7 and 8 at Kakatiya University auditorium in Warangal.

About 500 students from 20 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) from South Indian states of Kerala, Karnataka, AP and Telangana will take part in cultural events presenting the dance forms of their respective places.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of Warangal will present Perini Nruthyam, informed it’s Principal P Satyanarayana. An art exhibition would be arranged with art pieces from all the 76 JNVs of South India.

Deputy CM and Education Minister K Srihari will be the chief guest and inaugurate the programme on November 7 at 3 pm. MP P Dayakar, MLAs D Vinaya Bhaskar, A Ramesh and Warangal Mayor N Narender will be present while Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali K will preside over the function.

The KU Vice-Chancellor Prof R Sayanna will be the chief guest at the valedictory on November 8. Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu, KU Registrar Prof M V Ranga Rao and Warangal Rural District Collector Prashant J. Patil will preside over the programme.

Different committees such as reception committee, programme committee, stage management, accommodation, hospitality, transportation, safety and security have been constituted for the smooth conduct of the event.

Arrangements are made for the stay of the students at JNV Mamnoor, the Principal said. Last year the event was held in Mysore in Karnataka, he added.
