​Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan directed the officials to work efficiently to make five-day Durajpalli Lingamanthula Jatara a grand success.

On Wednesday, he conducted a review meeting with in-charge officials of Lingamanthula Jatara, to start from February 12, at the Collectorate.

Addressing the officials, he advised spraying water on the road constructed from main road to the temple regularly. He instructed Panchayat Raj and Rural Water Supply officials to make sure the availability of safe drinking water to devotees.

In this connection, he suggested them to conduct a meeting with mineral water plant managements of Suryapet town to supply water in 15 water tankers in three shifts per day.

“To maintain cleanliness in and around the temple premises, take necessary steps to clear litter and wastage at regular intervals,” the Collector said. He further directed police to effectively control the traffic and make arrangements to ensure safety and security of the pilgrims.

“Ninety protocol officials are engaged to work in three shifts to make Jatara memorable. District administration issued passes to the staff engaged to Jatara works,” he added.

He advised officials concerned to stop the buses in selected areas only and ordered the TRANSCO officials to supply uninterrupted power at Jatara venue.

To avoid any untoward incidents, officials must alert the devotees through mike announcements to maintain discipline in queue lines during the darshan.

Durajpalli Sarpanch Ambali, DPO Rammohan Raju, RDO Mohan Rao, DSP Sunitha and others participated.
