Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police Kartikeya urged the people to make proper use of the ‘Dial 100’ facility being provided in the city to make complaints to the police.

In a press release here on Friday, the Commissioner of Police said that the ‘Dial 100’ programme was introduced on the instructions of the Telangana State Director-General of Police (DGP) to benefit the aggrieved people living in towns and rural areas. This will enable them to lodge complaints by making a phone call.

Commissioner Karthikeya said that a total of 1202 phone calls from the people of Armoor, Bodhan and Nizamabad towns in the ‘Dial 100’ programme conducted from February 10 to March 10 this year. Among these, 54 cases related to bodily offences, 319 cases relating to accidents, 17 cases concerning property disputes offences, 19 prank calls and 752 miscellaneous cases.

Commissioner Karthikeya said that prompt action would be taken on the complaints and the grievances of the people would be redressed.
