TDP’s 36th Foundation Day celebrated in Nizamabad

Nizamabad: The 36th foundation day celebrations of the Telugu Desam Party were held in the city on Wednesday. The district TDP president Arikela Narasa Reddy hoisted flag at the district party headquarters with scores of party workers present on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Narasa Reddy said that efforts were on to strengthen the party in the district.

Narasa Reddy said that it was the TDP which empowered the backward classes, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes in the State and it was I power for 18 long years in the undivided State of Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, the TDP also took steps to provide basic amenities and infrastructure facilities in the rural areas, he added.

The TDP leader said that the party provided food clothing and shelter to the common man. He said that many important leaders in the Telangana Rashtra Samithi who were enjoying power today started their political careers in the Telugu Desam Party.

He expressed the hope that the TDP would definitely come to power in 2019 elections and advised the party cadres to strengthen it in the State. Later, the TDP leaders and workers took out a padayatra in the town and garlanded the statue of the TDP founder president NT Rama Rao.
