PS4 release date may give it an edge over Xbox One

People all around the world are eagerly awaiting for Microsoft to confirm the release date of Xbox One. Though the company received lot of flak initially for its policies, the internet outrage forced it to revise them and make it more people friendly. In order to further entice the fans, Pepsi has partnered up with Microsoft and is giving away Xbox One consoles in a competition to lucky winners. The entrants for the competition are informed beforehand that the console will is expected to launch sometime in late November. Microsoft has committed to a 'November' release date, so late in the month would certainly be at the lower end of the expectations.

It could also give Sony an all-important head start on Microsoft as the PS4 goes on sale on November 15 in the United States.

Alternatively, Sony's planned European launch on November 29 would be in line with the latest guesswork for the Xbox One.

These new reports are contrary to recent rumours suggesting the long-awaited next-gen device would arrive on November 8.
