Giving Campaign 2014 kicked off across all Microsoft offices in India earlier this month, including the campus in Hyderabad, and will continue till November 7. The campaign takes up activities including women empowerment, care for elderly people, provision of special care to children with disabilities, disaster relief and animal welfare. What makes this campaign even more special is that the monetary contributions of employees is matched by Microsoft (up to a maximum amount) and donated to the nonprofit chosen by employees. Apart from the causes mentioned above, ‘sanitation’ is the new cause being taken up by the IT giant.
