Hyderabad: “SAARC countries would have progressed a lot more as one fourth of the world’s population lives in these eight-member nations. With pro-active administration now, the pace of SAARC’s working on social, economic, cultural and educational front should grow in geometric proportions,” said Prof. Mohammad Masood Ahmed, member of SAARC Member Countries Education Group and former president of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

Pointing to statistics, during an interaction on Monday at the Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Systems and Management, he said that India ranks 132nd in terms of better business atmosphere whereas Singapore ranks first, followed by Hong Kong, New Zealand and USA. A lot deserves to be done in making SAARC more vibrant in all fields of development including business and education, he added.
