The project will have one lakh built up area for passenger terminal with 200 bus bays and platform for outstation buses, parking for 1,000 buses, 30 bus bays for city buses, two fuel filling stations including CNG, four vehicle service centres and office space for administrative purposes and for bus operators. Besides this, it would also comprise of budget hotels, restaurants, medical and emergency facilities with five beds and it would have police out post, fire protection and detection service.

A senior HMDA official told The Hans India that ICBT on PPP basis will also cater to Inter-State bus services. He said that the ICBT, which will come up in 55 acres, will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore.

Further, he said that the time for completion of project will be five years and the private firm would be asked to complete 60 per cent of the works and operate buses within three years. He said that the project has been handed over to KRR Infra Project ltd with an offer of Rs 64.22 crore. Though the project was approved on December 27 last year and GO was issued, it could not proceed due to problems in regard to title of the land.
