No parking boards go for a toss

Madhapur: Most of the free parking facilities have been started in the city this year. Also, the government declared free parking at Malls and theatres but what about the street and roads.

Though the governments officials have installed sign boards of no-parking at the roads especially at busy areas like Madhapur, Kondapur and Hi-tec city but it seems nobody is aware of it. Street parking and open parking have not yet come in the effect.

The roads at Madhapur and cyber city are making people life in risk because anywhere at those roads a person can see vehicles parked. The vehicles are also found in bad conditions. In areas where parking is not available the half portion of the road will be used for parking by the people.

Traffic police at Madhapur Rajkumar said, though we issue challans for wrong parking, but imposing fines have not solved the problem. Instead, identifying space and allocating it for parking will make it easy. There were many times when we lock the vehicles if they are found at roads on no parking vehicles.

Shaurya Amazon employee said, I’m working here since six months and only thing I find more is traffic because of the parking done here. I first thought parking is free later, noticed the board here says no-parking zone. But the parking here can be because of the food and tea stalls. Most of the time people come and smoke here later continued with the juice stalls.
