Uppal: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Commission (GHMC) Mayor Bonthu Rammohan distributed pattadar passbooks of 64 acres land and cheques worth Rs 2.55 lakh to 58 beneficiaries under Rythu Bandhu scheme here on Thursday.
Beneficiaries were happy. A farmer said, “The cheques distribution would help him pay off debts. He lauded the government for bringing out the scheme. Many farmers committed suicide in the past just for a few thousand rupees debt.”
Local leaders said that the Rythu Bandhu scheme would help so many people who are reeling under several problems. Legislator NVSS Prabhakar, local corporators Mekala Anala Hanmanth Reddy, Gopu Saraswathi, MRO Ramesh and revenue officers were present.
