Four truck-loads of hay stock was gutted near Ameerpet village, six km from Maheshwaram. The incident happened at 5 pm on Sunday. One Birla Pandu brought four truck-loads of hay stock and had gone to fetch the fifth truck when the hay caught fire.

When the Maheshwaram fire station was informed, officials said that there was no staff as they had gone for Chief Minister’s bandobast duty. By the time the fire engine had come, the whole hay stock was destroyed.
The total worth of hay stock that got burnt is Rs 75,000. The cause of the fire was not known. The owners said that it was difficult to guess the cause of fire.
