Hyderabad: BJP city vice president Govind Rathi along with fellow party members severely objected to the decision of Metro Rail authorities of constructing Metro staircase in front of the Andhra Bank stretch.

They reminded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had assured in December last that necessary land would be acquired from women’s college for the staircase.

He said that if stairs were constructed then it would further narrow down the stretch causing inconvenience to the pedestrians and vehicular movement. He demanded that the State government stall the works immediately in the interest of people.
