Sangareddy: Two new born babies of male and female were allegedly swapped by the staff of the government area hospital at Sangareddy from the two mother right after the deliveries at the same time.

Archana and Saraswati delivered male and female babies respectively after caesarean section around 11 am on Monday morning. First, the father of the male baby Srisailam who belong to Andur village of Jinnaram mandal, was told that they were blessed with male baby. But after a while, ward boy changed the baby with female one from another woman Saraswati who belongs to Bollaram. When the parents of the male baby confronted him, the ward boy replied that the babies were mistakenly interchanged. The father of the male baby said, “Our happiness by the birth of baby boy for us was evaporated within in an hour by the hospital staff.

Our male baby was replaced with female one. We want our own biological baby only. They are displacing the babies at the hospital illegally for the want of money only.” When the parents confronted about the matter, the Superintendant of the hospital Vasundara said that it was a mistake made by the ward boy and the babies are now with their original mothers only. After being informed, the District Medical officers responded over the incident and assured the parents of the both newborns to hand over their original babies to their original mothers by conducting the DNA test at FSL lab by conducting detailed investigation.
