The manufacturing unit would encourage the community occupations, livelihoods and practices and to provide employment for the unemployed too, MBC Corporation chairman Taduri Srinivas said.District Collector P Venkatram Reddy, who perused the samples of clay water bottles in the presence of MBC Corporation Chairman, Joint Collector Padmakar and DRO at the collectorate, said in the first phase to turn Siddipet Municipality into an eco-friendly town, nearly 5,000 clay water bottles would be used at government area hospital and offices including the collectorate office.

The pilot project will be intended for the achievement of 100 percent eco-friendly and clean Siddipet town, said Taduri Srinivas who termed Siddipet town a mascot of development in the state by the Minister Harish Rao after visiting Komati Cheruvu, Model Rythu Bazaar and Government Hospital in the town. MBC Corporation chairman T Srinivas said on the directions of Minister Harish Rao, the Corporation decided to set up a manufacturing unit at the town to encourage the community occupations and livelihood.

As the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao ordered for the usage of clay water bottles at all the government offices, schools, institutions, hospitals and hostels to reduce the soil and environmental hazard, the proposal of manufacturing centre will be formed by providing training by 31 master trainers for the setting up of units in all 31 districts with the sanction of loans from the BC corporation without any bank linkage for the first time in the country on the basis of self declaration, said the BC Corporation chairman who visited Siddipet town recently.
