Hyderabad: The Telangana Advocates’ JAC (TAJAC), on Sunday, said that Seemandhra agitations were artificial and stage managed to protect vested interests of some capitalists. They demanded the sponsored agitations to be stopped as the decision to bifurcate the State was taken after consulting all the parties.

A round table conference was organised at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram where a booklet ‘Division for justice and equality is a democratic right’ by Civil Liberties Committee was released. Addressing the gathering, TAJAC convener Rajender Reddy said that Telangana movement was a democratic movement for self-respect, liberty, equality and fraternity for which the people of Telangana have been fighting for decades.

He told that the Seemandhra employees should not put hurdles in the formation of Telangana and not to continue the agitations as it would hurt the sentiments of Telangana people. S Jeevan Kumar, President, Human Rights Forum, alleged that the capitalists were doling out huge amounts to organise agitations in Seemandhra to stall the T formation, he added. Mallepalli Lakshmaiah, TJAC co-chairman, Devi Prasad, TNGO president and few other leaders opined that the Seemandhra leaders should refrain from making provocative statements.
