Hyderabad: The Seemandhra ministers feel that the centre will not bring in the cabinet note before the union cabinet till the Antony Committee visits the state and submits a report to the party high command. The Seemandhra leaders gained this impression after a meeting they had with the Chief Minister on Thursday to discuss about the deliberations Kiran had with Antony committee. They said, Digvijay Singh had given enough indications that it would address the issues raised by the chief minister before they ask him to move a resolution in the state Assembly.

Chief Minister had been successful in convincing the party leadership not to hurry with the T process till the two contentious issues of sharing of water and the status of Hyderabad was decided, they claim. The source said that Kiran had told the high command that so far the farmers had not joined the agitation since they were in the midst of agricultural activities. If they also join the agitation, the situation could take a new turn. The source said that they have indications that the farmers too propose to join the agitation soon. He said the local leaders at the grass root level were in touch with the farming community and necessary strategies were being worked out. Once the sowing season would come to an end, they will also play active role, the source said.

The Seemandhra leaders feel that if the agitation can be sustained for more time then the high command will have no option but to slow down the process. Another minister Pithani Satyanarayana told media that the T leaders were making baseless allegations that the Chief Minister was behind the agitation and that he was instigating it. He said Kiran was only apprising the high command of the ground situation and the damage it was causing to the party in the Seemandhra region.
