HYDERABAD: 30,000 power sector employees of Seemandhra resumed their work early morning on Friday, after a week long strike to protest the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

The employees have, however, said that their decision is conditional and in view of the commitment to assist the state as it braces to face a strong cyclonic storm Phailin. It is likely that cyclone Phailin would hit coastal Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday evening. From the other end, the school teachers in all Seemandhra districts had also called off their strike. By evening, is is supposed that the state transport employees will also join their duties.

Meanwhile, a Group of Ministers headed by the Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, is likely to meet in Delhi on Friday to start the process of formation of Telangana as India's 29th state.
