Rao stated that sand should be used for local needs only and asked the officials to finalise the modalities for the purpose.Warning the officials that stringent action would be taken against officials if anybody encourages illegal transportation, the collector said that sand must be transported only between 6 am and 7 pm. It was decided to allocate sand for various government development works after getting proposals from engineers and Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs).
