Pakistan Security Forces Kill 33 Militants

Islamabad: According to a Geo News report, a total of 33 militants have been killed in Pakistan's tribal region of North Waziristan, on Thursday. The alerted security forces launched a search operation on vehicle-borne IEDs in Mir Ali area, who were reportedly, confirmed intelligence of terrorists preparing.

According to an ISPR press release, in this operation, ten militants were killed recording the total deaths of 33. The terrorists allegedly tried to ambush a convoy of security forces, while the convoy was returning from Khajori post, where they had gone for the rescue of as many as 28 injured soldiers and evacuation of two killed troops. The killed troops were attacked by a suicide bomber when they were offering prayers in a mosque.

In the counter act, the security forces responded effectively and imposed heavy casualties on them. Ensuring a firefight, 23 terrorists were killed. During the exchange of fire, three security forces personnel were also injured, sources added.
