Pakistan's arms imports fell in 2015, accounting for 3.3 percent of global arms imports with an expenditure of 735 million dollars, reports Dawn.

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) database shows that India was the top arms importer in 2014.

The largest exporter of arms to Pakistan in 2015 was China, with arms transfers worth 565 million dollars, followed by the United States (US) with 66 million dollars arms transfers.

Pakistan is also China's largest buyer for arms, accounting for 35 percent of total arms sales in the country, followed by Bangladesh and Myanmar.
