Daily wagers stage dharna

Karimnagar: Several daily wage earners, led by Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) leaders, staged a dharna in front of the District Collctorate here on Thursday demanding the authorities to resolve their long pending issues. They raised slogans in support of their demands. Addressing the media, they alleged that the district administration was insensitive towards their problems despite their repeated representations. The workers were facing hardships due to rising prices of essential commodities and hike in their daily wage rates would provide them some relief, they added. They threatened to launch a massive agitation if the government did not fulfill their demands.
