Singareni staff to get wage arrears today
Singareni Collieries Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar has issued orders to pay on Tuesday to the workers arrears of the new wage board scales amounting to Rs 265 crore.
Kothagudem: Singareni Collieries Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar has issued orders to pay on Tuesday to the workers arrears of the new wage board scales amounting to Rs 265 crore.
An amount of Rs 51,000 is to be deposited in each worker’s bank account, the CMD said on Monday.
The payment is being made as part of the agreement reached at the JBCCI meeting held recently. The SCCL Finance department has completed the arrangements for making the payments to the workers.
The company during the last one month made three payments totaling Rs 554.84 crore to the workers, including Rs 120 crore as Dasara advance, Rs 336 as Deepavali bonus and Rs 98.84 crore as bonus on profit.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had recently directed the SCCL management to pay Rs 265 crore as salary arrears to the workers. The CMD has now acted on Chief Minister’s directive.
