Khammam: People facing problems with corrupt officials are advised to report the matter immediately to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) without any fear, the Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar said here on Monday.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau is organising a weeklong programme to create awareness on corruption and its influence on the society. The programme is scheduled from December 3 to December 9.

As part of the programme, a rally was organised where the students of Ricca Bazar High School took part. The rally was inaugurated by the Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar in Khammam on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar said every citizen has the right to fight against corruption and added that they should report any encounter with a corrupt official to the ACB and create awareness against corruption.

The officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau will conduct several competitions for the students as part of weeklong programmes related to corruption along with creating awareness through posters, stickers and pamphlets.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sada Niranjan, Circle Inspector Raji Reddy, ACB CI’s Ramana Murthy and Padma, ASI’s Ramu, Annam Srinivas Rao and the Ricca Bazar School Head Master Nageshwar were present along with others.
