Nagarkurnool: Unhappy with the functioning of TRS government, more than 100 local leaders and party workers from TRS and TDP parties from Vennecherla village of Peddakottapally mandal of Nagarkurnool district joined the Congress party on Monday, according to Kollapur Congress in-charge Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy.

While talking on the occasion, Harshvardhan Reddy said the KCR government was making tall promises, but failed to fulfil any of them. Majority of people in the villages, particularly the youth, were opposing the government’s wrong policies. “The TRS government had fooled the youth, the farmers and all sections of the society by making false promises. They had promised to give two lakh jobs, double bedroom houses, KG. to PG free education, but till date not a single youth had been benefited in the villages.

The government was employing repressive tactics and arresting all those who were raising their voice against the wrong policies of the government. As there was severe opposition, many were getting attracted towards the Congress and the Congress will come back to power and win the 2019 elections,” said Harshavardhan Reddy. Later Harshavardha Reddy along with the villagers hoisted Congress Party flag in the village.
