Nalgonda: On the directions of Chief Minister KChandrashekar Rao, District Collector Gaurav Uppal on Thursdayinspected the pump house works of Brahmana Vellemla project. He held a review meeting with engineers and contract agencies over the progress of the project at the site.

Speaking on this occasion, the Collector said all arrangement have been made toconduct trail run run by the end of this month.

Stating thatthe work was delayed due to collapse of rock during the 236 meters tunnel work, he said the issue would be addressed and exuded confidence that irrigation water would be released from the project by May 15.

Explaining about the status of works, he said that lining work for canals is going on, works at railway line began. TheRailways sanctioned funds for the works.

Chief Engineer level officer has been collecting the information of works for every fortnight and addressing the issues on war-footing to avoid the delay in works of the project, he added.

He directed the executing agencies to coordinate with others and complete the works of the project.In this programme, RDO Venkata Chary, Tahsildar Vijaya Laxmi, Irrigation SE Hameed, EESrinivas, AD Mines, Agency engineers participated.
