Remembering Jagjivan Ram on his 111 birth anniversary
The 111th birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram was held on a grand note here on Thursday.District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, District Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha along with district officials and public representatives garlanded the portrait of Babu Jagjivan Ram and paid tributes to the veteran leader.

They described Jagjivan Ram as a leader of values and ethics. His life is a lesson for everyone and everyone should learn a lesson. They advised the youth to concentrate on studies and gain knowledge to achieve some thing big in their lives.
They stated that Jagjivan Ram was a great freedom fighter, a crusader for social justice a true democrat and an able administrator. He was a good politician and fought for upliftment of downtrodden.After the meeting, the Collector distributed cheques to the inter-caste married couples.
In Bhadrachalam, the officials garlanded the portrait of Babu Jagjivan Ram at Integrated Tribal Development Agency Office and Sub- Collector Office.ZP Chairperson G Kavitha, MLA J Venkat Rao, Municipal Commissioner P Geetha, SC development Officer Ram Murthy and others participated in the programme.
